A Crown is a tooth shaped cover placed over a tooth that has either been badly damaged or decayed. They are also known as caps. Possible reasons a patient may need a crown:
-Severely decayed tooth
-Broken or fractured tooth
-Tooth that has been root canal treated
-Large or broken filling
-Cosmetic enhancement
-Placed on top of a dental implant
